Mandate:	Our Mandate at KIDS T.V. is to motivate and train students to be active participants in the media, instead of passive viewers. We hope to give students the tools and the guidance to create their own Media Messages and in the long term create a Television Network produced entirely by children.
Now:	Today KIDS T.V. is associated with a collective of artists including animators, writers, and directors. We have worked with thousands of students in many different school boards in Canada and the USA as well as created video workshops at the CN tower, Harbourfront Centre, the Art Gallery of Ontario, summer camps in NYC, California, Florida, Texas, and Washington DC to name a few. We also have been running our annual Master class at Camp Olympia for over ten years.
The Future:	KIDS T.V. has been written up in many magazines including City Parent Magazine in Toronto and Group Creativity Magazine published in New York City. We hope to branch out soon and create other KIDS T.V. centers internationally where Artists in their local communities may interact with students and create material for the KIDS T.V. chain. In the past we have sent Video Artists to communities in Canada and the USA, and as far as Germany, and the Philippines. We have promoted many other student-made stations at our festival including The United Nations School in New York, WYNYE in New York, ITV in Texas, and KDOL in San Francisco. We have connected schools and their local Cable stations and continue to build an exciting student-made network where budding young directors may communicate with each other and exchange video ideas locally and globally.
